Sound Off !!!!

Nowadays, everyone is hiring event planners to produce their events, be they large or small. Social media has deemed hiring a coordinator as "the thing to do" as well! So, silently, folks have been coaxed into it , but not everyone knows the proper etiquette of working with a coordinator! THUS, I have shared a few groundrules with you below that you should keep in mind when looking to hire a coordinator! I believe that these tips will assist you in receiving maximal utilization from them! Enjoy!

Let Your Coordinator COORDINATE !
Allow who you've hired to do the job that they've been hired to do! Be open & upfront with them about your likes and dislikes and let them lead the way. TRUST ME ! It will pay off in the end!

There's Only 1 Chief, But There Are Many Indians!
You are the boss, so your coordinator will be looking to capture YOUR wishes & get the job done. Do not overwhelm your coordinator with involving too many decision makers in the process! Of course it's cool to get the opinions of close friends, a fiance', relative and so on, but you may want to pre-screen them for ideas, choose which of those you like, and have their ideas present when you meet with your coordinator next. This can really confuse a coordinator, if others are too heavily involved in the coordination process as their ideas could water down a client's initial vision.

Stay On Track!
It's always important to stay on track with your time and to-do lists, so be sure you OBEY! If you choose not to follow your coordinator's advice on the logistics of your event ( ex: ignoring deadlines, timelines, remixing the plan), just know that you are solely responsible for the outcome of the event as you have now taken matters into your own hands. This could realy derail your event so, be sure to cooperate !

That's all for now folks !Be sure to stay tuned for the next "Sound Off"!

Stylishly Yours!
